Anna Karp - translator of English and Italian

The quality that best describes me as a translator and as a person is faithfulness:
 - to the linguistic talents I was born with,
 - to the languages that I came to love and whose knowledge I continue to improve,
 - to the word I translate,
 - to the commitments I assume.

My professional activity
I have translated and interpreted since 1992. I undertook my first translation tasks when I was a student at the Faculty of Italian Language and Literature at the University of Warsaw, then, I translated parallel to teaching English at private universities and language schools, and, after that, since 2004, I have been working exclusively as a translator – of English and Italian – now consciously walking that path of professional development.

I am now cooperating with translation agencies and customers from all over Poland. Since 2006 I have been working, on the basis of a permanent contract, for Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas S.A. (BGŻ S.A.) in Warsaw, as an external translator of the Bank’s documents into English. Since 2007 I have conducted my own business activity “Meva Translations”. Besides, I have a small publishing debut to my credit – in 2005 a book which I translated, entitled "Mountains" (Pol. “Góry”), was published by Pascal Publishing House from Bielsko-Bia³a.

You will find more information about me in the tab “Qualifications”.

I will be pleased to cooperate with you!
